Horror Games
The Forrest

About the game:
In The Forest, the player must survive on an island on which their character's plane has crashed by
creating shelter, weapons, and other survival tools.
During the game the developers want players to question whether the island's cannibalistic
tribe is the enemy of the player or vice versa;
for example, while fighting the player, the cannibals may try to protect one another from injury.

Slenderman

Parsec Productions received more fame for its release of Slender, a first-person horror game where you play a character who is searching for information about the Slender Man. Slenderman, which actually predates Slender, gives you more horror and story about the character who slowly causes you to lose sanity in the Slender computer game.
However, the aim of Slenderman is quite different, and this game finds players transported to a forest where you're running not only from the man himself but from slender children as well. Talk about upping the creep factor. Your ultimate goal is to kill him, not find out about his origins, which might be more satisfying for some players.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent

With series like Resident Evil and Silent Hill either turning into action of falling off the map, the future on true survival horror seemed bleak for the longest time. However, after successfully releasing Penumbra: Overture, Frictional Games decided to take another crack at survival horror with Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
Both survival and horror are very dominant themes in Amnesia: The Dark Descent; the player does not get any weapons and there is very little light to use. In addition, the player takes on the role of a protagonist that suffers from both real and imaginary threats that can harm him. Without any combat, it makes for true survival horror.
